Testimony of Apocalypse Unleash Thunderous New Single "Refraction" via Roxx Records

Testimony of Apocalypse and Roxx Records have unleashed "Refraction," the first single from their eagerly anticipated upcoming album, Agony in the Garden, slated for a 2025 release. This track is an absolute BEAST, and I was stoked to get an early listen before it released. Now everyone can check out!

"Refraction" showcases a masterful blend of influences, making it a must-listen for fans of melodic death metal with a twist. The track combines clean and unclean vocals, threading in metalcore elements, and even nods to black metal vocal styles. It’s eclectic yet cohesive, delivering an listening experience that’s both familiar and refreshingly unique. If you’re into bands like Amon Amarth or In Flames, this one’s going to hit you right in the feels. You can stream "Refraction" now on all major digital platforms, and don’t miss the accompanying music video—check it out below.

Earlier this year, TOA announced their new full-time vocalist. The band shared their excitement in an official statement:

"We are thrilled to share some exciting news with you! Derek Corzine, an integral part of Testimony of Apocalypse as our recording engineer and session bassist during the making of The Offering album, is now taking on a new role as our full-time vocalist. You've already had a glimpse of his vocal prowess on ‘The Time Has Come,’ the opening track from The Offering, and we're eager to announce that Derek will also continue to play bass and stay on as the recording engineer. We appreciate all the talented vocalists who contributed to The Offering as each one possesses lead-singer caliber skills."

Derek’s passion for music and his commitment to the band’s sound have already made a significant impact. His powerful and versatile vocals are set to steer TOA into an exciting new chapter. The band continues:

"With his powerful and versatile vocals, we are embarking on a new chapter, and we can't wait to create fresh music to share with everyone. Along the way, we've been fortunate to receive guidance and inspiration, and we extend our heartfelt thanks for your continued support as we evolve and explore new horizons together."
"We feel blessed to be able to serve Him, our Christ and Savior, through our music and are excited to share our latest lyric video with you of the track 'The Time Has Come' featuring Derek Corzine right out front handling the vocal duties."

Stay tuned for more updates on TOA and the upcoming album, Agony in the Garden. And who knows, I might have had a hand in designing the album cover art—more on that as the release date approaches in 2025.
