Man, I've missed these albums! Thrash specialists Betrayal released two epic albums back in the 90s, and until now, they haven't been available on streaming sites. Renaissance by Death and The Passing were both on regular rotation in my car and bedroom stereo system back in the day, and since I haven't had a CD player in 15-plus years, I haven't had a chance to sink my teeth into the music over the years. Now, after 30 years, they are available on streaming sites. Fan-uploaded YouTube versions are OK in a pinch, but the quality isn't very good, plus, I love being able to add the albums to my Spotify playlists and iTunes library. I'm happy to report that these digital releases sound sick through my Black Studio3 Beats headphones!
As announced on Facebook by former Betrayal vocalist (and current After Betrayal vocalist) Chris Ackerman, "Exciting News! The Christian Thrash metal band Betrayal, that I was the frontman/vocalist for our run from 1990 - 1996 has hit another milestone tonight! Our two albums we did with Wonderland Records were released at noon today on Spotify, Apple Music, and all other streaming platforms!
This brings our albums full circle from CD, vinyl and now streaming where we can reach a younger audience with God’s message, who streaming is their go to choice for music today.
The number one question I get asked is 'when will your albums be in streaming sites?' Well, it’s now here… download our albums “Renaissance by Death” and “The Passing” now!"
