The Metal Crawlspace -
Brutal death metal act 'Taking the Head of Goliath' have officially called it quits after two EPs, "Beyond Brutal Live" (2017), "Taking the Head of Goliath" (2018), and a Single “Cord of Three Strands“ (2019). There was supposed to be a studio album called "Futility of the Flesh" set to release in 2020, but that never materialized (at least nowhere we could find).
As per the end of the band, according to the the official 'Taking the Head of Goliath' Facebook page, the members are all on great terms. They have apparently simply become to busy with family and life obligations to continue on. In the official announcement, the band stated that "a couple of songs and an EP containing our final works will be released this year through Rottweiler Records."

As the ol' saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And as of this announcement, the end has come for Taking The Head Of Goliath.
We've decided that rather than keep the project on life support as it has been for the last three years, we'd take a moment to finally give it a proper burial. Rest assured friends, all is good between bandmates. There was nothing to cause this decision to be made other than the four of us accepting the reality of the status of the band. We're simply not active. Our time together is up. At the end of the day, we've always had a culture of keeping our highest priorities in life straight; faith, family, etc... the band itself was never going to take precedent over these things so if continuing on with it means replacing anyone or rebuilding this band in any way, as brothers, that just isn't going to happen. So it has been written. It is done.
Now, there is a little something on the horizon we'd like to share as we ride off into the sunset.... We've recorded a couple of songs and an EP containing our final works will be released this year through Rottweiler Records. We hope you'll enjoy it.
From the bottom of our hearts we thank you all for your support over the years. We appreciate every one of you and have had the time of our lives with this project.
Goodbye and God bless,
Jake, Nathan, Luke and Steve
