Milwaukee bestial death horde Pig’s Blood will release its new album, Destroying the Spirit, on April 24, 2026 through Dark Descent Records.

Marking the band’s first release under the Dark Descent banner, Destroying the Spirit pushes Pig’s Blood deeper into its savage fusion of blackened hostility and crushing death metal violence. Described as an unholy barrage of volcanic riffing and abyssal aggression, the album presents 10 tracks of scorched-earth extremity.

Though often lumped into the war metal camp, Pig’s Blood has long operated with a wider strike radius. The band draws from the raw militant fury of acts such as Revenge and Blasphemy, while channeling the grim backbone of early ’90s American death metal in the vein of Deicide, Order from Chaos, and Incantation. The result is a deliberate and punishing hybrid that continues to carve out its own brutal place in the underground.

Destroying the Spirit will be available on digital, CD, and vinyl, with vinyl editions arriving in standard black and yellow/oxblood variants.
