Italy’s Necrogore step into 2026 with their first full-length statement, Ectoplasmic R*pe Phenomena, arriving March 20 through Awakening Records.
Following 2023’s Digging From Below and 2024’s Ancestral Abhorrence, the band expands its corpse-grinding assault into a complete album forged in classic death metal tradition.
Rooted in old-school brutality and driven by dense riffing, feral vocals, and relentless percussion, Ectoplasmic Rape Phenomena delivers the kind of uncompromising extremity that defines the genre’s most revered era. Additional guitar work from Patrik Fernlund of Gorement appears on “Sulphureal Morbid Corpse,” while cover art comes courtesy of Paolo Girardi, known for his work with Revocation and The Black Dahlia Murder.

This was wrong…roles reversed, the world inversed. He was the night hunter, the self-appointed king of the darkness, the defiler and destroyer. Yet here he lay, bound and broken, while an entity even his warped and fractured sanity could not accept drew from him the screams he so loved to hear from others. After two blistering EPs of corpse-grinding extremity – 2023’s Digging From Below and 2024’s Ancestral Abhorrence – Italy’s deadliest death metal export, Necrogore, are ready to unleash their long-awaited full-length debut album. Featuring a nightmarish array of lyrical horrors and an army of flesh-hungry riffs, Ectoplasmic Rape Phenomena is formed from the very essence of classic death metal. This is total death metal annihilation.
After a suitably unnerving intro, Ectoplasmic Rape Phenomena erupts into violent life with the thick, snarling guitars of ‘Raptured, Tortured And Chained’. Imperious vocals, feral aggression and chaos unbound channel the spirit of the undead Swedish gods of death. From the lurching monstrosity of ‘Offered To The Dead’ to the unrestrained violence of ‘Leeches On My Dick’, the album drives forward with chainsaw guitars and merciless momentum.
The rabid brutality of ‘Mediumistic Intercession’ and the blasting horror layered throughout the record rest upon accomplished song construction. Slayer-inspired riffs dominate ‘One Foot In The Grave’, while ‘Sulphureal Morbid Corpse’ combines chilling atmosphere and suffocating decay into a dark, addictive anthem. The album concludes with a masterful interpretation of the theme from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, originally composed by Jerry Lambert, pushed through a wall of distortion.
