Indonesian brutal death metal trio Multiwomb will release its debut full-length album, Anatomy of Gorelust, on March 23 through Grave Island Records.
Packed with nine tracks across 26 minutes, the album is framed as a concentrated blast of surgical brutality and gore-soaked extremity. Drawing from the classic brutal death metal tradition, Multiwomb lean into dense riff structures, punishing drum work, and deeply guttural vocals, choosing precision, impact, and raw intensity over trend-chasing.
The band said of the release:
“Anatomy of Gorelust is our debut full-length, and we approached it with a clear intention to deliver brutal death metal in its purest and most obsessive form. Every riff, every blast and every guttural passage was written to feel tight, suffocating and surgical. This album defines who Multiwomb are. No trends, only anatomical extremity and raw intensity.”
Recorded at Nada Rakta Chamber and Volcanic Studio, then mixed and mastered at Ultra Organic Studio, the album aims for a balance of clarity and aggression, giving each riff and blast a sharp, deliberate edge. Conceptually, Anatomy of Gorelust dives into anatomical obsession and grotesque imagery, while staking Multiwomb’s claim in the international extreme underground.
The artwork was created by Jon Zig, whose work is well known in the brutal death metal scene for its long-running presence and unmistakable visual identity.
For fans of Despondency, Inveracity, and Pyaemia, Anatomy of Gorelust looks to be a savage opening statement from a band with no interest in softening the blow.
