Northern Italy’s rising heavy unit Gravery will release their new EP Purified In Blood on May 15 through Upstate Records in partnership with Blood Blast Distribution. The four-track release—featuring “Icon of Sin,” the title track, “Fragments of Life,” and “An Ode to Death”—continues the band’s trajectory of blunt-force aggression and no-frills intensity.
Written and produced by the band, with lyrics handled by Luca “Pigo” De Simone alongside Gravery, the EP was recorded, mixed, and mastered at Audiocore Studio in Parma, Italy. The result leans into a raw, direct sound built on punishing low-end, relentless breakdowns, and themes centered on the darker impulses of the human mind.
In support of Purified In Blood, Gravery will hit the road across Europe and the UK, with appearances at festivals including Worst Fest (Italy), 6000 Fest (Belgium), and Rising Tides Fest (Netherlands), followed by a dedicated EU tour run beginning May 15. A UK stretch alongside SUFFER kicks off June 2, with additional European dates extending into late June. A U.S. tour is slated for August, with dates expected soon.
The band’s momentum has been building since their 2024 debut EP landed at No. 18 on the NACC Top 30 Heavy Chart, placing them alongside acts like Lamb of God and Fit for an Autopsy. With Purified In Blood, Gravery aim to push that trajectory further—delivering a compact, aggressive statement that favors impact over excess.
