Finnish death metal force Desecresy returns with its ninth full-length album, The Secret of Death, set for release on May 21, 2026 through Xtreem Music.

Helmed entirely by Tommi Grönqvist, who handles all music, vocals, production, and artwork, Desecresy continues to carve out its own path through pure, atmosphere-driven death metal. Rather than leaning into technical excess or trend-chasing brutality, The Secret of Death promises a heavier focus on immersive darkness, cavernous riffs, subterranean vocals, and the kind of oppressive mood that feels dragged straight from a crypt.

The album features tracks including “Gorge Of The Dead,” “It Appears In A Dream,” “Crypthymn,” “Rotting Ghouls,” and “Vanishing Existence,” each helping shape what sounds like another deep descent into the band’s world of tombs, decay, and ancient horror.

With Grönqvist once again serving as the sole creative force behind the release, the Desecresy vision remains focused and uncompromising. According to the label, The Secret of Death stands as one of the project’s most immersive and fully realized works to date.

The Secret of Death will be available on CD, 12-inch LP, cassette, and digital formats.

Line-up:

Tommi Grönqvist – all music and vocals
