A new blackened death metal force has entered the underground. RELIC, featuring veterans of the Milwaukee metal scene, has released its debut EP, Crown of Flies, now available on CD and digital formats.
Built on punishing death metal riffage and the chaotic velocity of black metal, RELIC leans hard into a raw and savage sound rooted in Midwest extremity. Crown of Flies delivers four tracks of blistering blackened death metal with no gimmicks, no posturing, and no wasted motion. Just pure underground violence aimed straight at the listener.
The band features Kevin Forsythe (Jungle Rot, Emblazoned) on guitar and bass, Jeff Plewa (Micawber, Emblazoned) on vocals, Alex “Pulverizer” Pulvermacher (Decrescent, Emblazoned) on drums, and Vinny Alvarez (A Night At The Chalet, Slam Pig) on guitar.
For fans of Belphegor, Sanguisugabogg, 200 Stab Wounds, Diocletian, Behemoth, Angelcorpse, Devourment, Dead Congregation, and Immolation.
RELIC’s Crown of Flies is a filthy opening statement worth blasting loud.
